Scott Schultz grew up running spotlights on giant dancing fish, duct taping cables for the band and delivering juggling knives to the mimes for his dads touring variety show. This almost begins to explain where the wild iconic kids show he created called Yo Gabba Gabba came from.

Nominated 8 years in a row for Emmys, the show won a British BAFTA and the coveted Critics Choice award for best children show two years in a row. Hailed by Time magazine as “the hottest kids show on TV” his personal favorite achievement was receiving the Fred Rogers award for excellence in children television.

Scott founded “The Magic Store” the production company responsible for multiple television shows and live events, including Yo Gabba Gabba, as well as creative directing merchandise sales of over a hundred million dollars.

During all this pre-school fun scott co-created an older kids show called “the Aquabats super show” directing the pilot and executive producing both critically acclaimed seasons for the Hub. In subsequent years he’s developed multiple series for Nickelodeon, HBO, PBS, VEVO, and TBS.

One highlight was directing a music comedy special featuring the Flaming Lips, Taran Killam and Hannibal Burress.

From directing Chadwick Boseman reading the classic “Uncle Toms Cabin” to E.S.L. shorts teaching english language in a funny way with Matt Walsh and Tony Hale.

Scott’s favorite productions are the ones directly educating kids in public schools throughout the country. His Latest series for schools was a co-production with Chipotle & CAA spotlighting healthy food habits for kids called RAD Lands. This show featured many celebrities, chefs and bands, from Jonah Ray to Portugal The Man, it showcased animation and even kids growing their own food.

Graduating with an Art & Photography degree Scott spent his early years working in the Action sports industry for companies like Acme Skateboards, Quicksilver and RVCA, which shows in his odd DIY approach to entertainment.

Scotts passion is bringing his unique past along with a special love of music to kids of the world as well as “the kids at heart”, like himself. Everyone from Jim Carey and Jack Black to the Killers and Weezer would agree that this passion shows in the colorful fun of Scott Schultz and the Magic he brings to the world.
